Season 1 of the TGL has concluded, and fans are gearing up for Season 2. The TGL match format is designed to offer an engaging experience with two distinct sessions: Triples and Singles. Each match consists of 15 holes, starting with nine holes of Triples, where teams of three players each engage in alternate shot play. This is followed by six holes of Singles, which feature head-to-head competition.

The matches take place at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. “SoFi Center is located on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,” offering a technologically advanced venue for these events. The field covers approximately 97 by 50 yards and includes various technologies to enhance gameplay.

The scoring system follows modern match play rules. “Each hole is worth 1 point and the team with the fewest shots on a hole wins the point.” In case of a tie after 15 holes, an Overtime session decides the winner through a closest-to-the-pin competition.

Teams earn points based on their performance in regular season matches, contributing to their standings in the SoFi Cup. “That winning team gets two points added to their tally in the SoFi Cup Standings.” The top four teams advance to playoffs after all regular season matches conclude.

Atlanta Drive emerged victorious in Season 1, securing the SoFi Cup by defeating New York Golf Club in a best-of-three Finals Series held in March 2025.

As TGL prepares for its second season, six teams will compete with rosters featuring prominent PGA TOUR players. These include Atlanta Drive GC with Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay; Boston Common Golf featuring Rory McIlroy; Jupiter Links Golf Club led by Tiger Woods; Los Angeles Golf Club with Collin Morikawa; New York Golf Club featuring Matt Fitzpatrick; and The Bay Golf Club including Ludvig Åberg.

Looking ahead, TGL plans to introduce a seventh team named Motor City Golf Club before Season 3 begins.
