Scott Hend achieved his best finish in a senior major at the ISPS HANDA Senior Open in London, solidifying his lead on the Legends Tour Order of Merit. Hend finished fourth after shooting a 5-under 65 in the final round, which was the lowest score for that round and matched by only one other player.

Padraig Harrington of Ireland won the event, becoming only the fifth golfer to claim both The Open Championship and the Senior Open titles. Hend’s performance surpassed his previous tie for fourth at the 2024 Senior PGA Championship and increased his lead over Thomas Bjorn from Denmark and Keith Horne from South Africa in the Legends Tour standings.

Other Australians also performed well during this final men’s senior major of 2025. Cameron Percy shot a Sunday 65 to tie for fifth place. New Zealander Steven Alker finished seventh, while Steve Allan and Greg Chalmers tied for eighth at nine under par.

In women’s golf, Australians Karis Davidson and Cassie Porter started their final round at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open tied for ninth but dropped into a tie for 21st after both shot rounds of two-over-par 74. Minjee Lee also finished tied for 21st with a closing round of 71.

At LIV Golf UK, Cameron Smith led Ripper GC with a tie for tenth place, followed by Marc Leishman who finished one stroke back in eleventh. Ripper GC ended up sixth in the team competition.

The week saw notable performances across several tours:
– In Minnesota at the PGA TOUR’s 3M Open, Adam Scott was tied for 53rd.
– On the Korn Ferry Tour at Glenview, Illinois, Harry Hillier from New Zealand placed thirtieth.
– Brett White won on PGA TOUR Americas’ Commissionaires Ottawa Open after a playoff.

Hend’s result keeps him ahead on the Legends Tour Order of Merit as he continues to compete against top international players throughout the season.
