Adam Scott and Stephanie Kyriacou are returning to the Genesis Scottish Open and the Amundi Evian Championship, respectively, after both finishing as runners-up in their events last year. Scott was overtaken by Robert MacIntyre at the Scottish Open, while Kyriacou lost to Ayaka Furue at the Evian Championship.

Kyriacou expressed her feelings after last year’s event, stating, “Sucks not to hold the trophy,” but also mentioned she would have been content with second place if told beforehand. Similarly, Scott commented on his performance saying, “Good to be in the mix,” though he regretted not winning.

Both golfers aim for redemption this year. Scott will compete alongside fellow Australians Elvis Smylie and Karl Vilips in Scotland. Meanwhile, Kyriacou will be one of nine Australians participating in France’s major women’s tournament.

Other Australian golfers are preparing for various tournaments worldwide. Cameron Smith, Lucas Herbert, and Marc Leishman will join Matt Jones at LIV Golf Andalucia in Spain. Additionally, eight Australians will compete in the DICK’S Open on the PGA TOUR Champions.

The Genesis Scottish Open offers a prize pool of $US9 million and features past Aussie winners like Min Woo Lee (2021). The Amundi Evian Championship boasts a prize pool of $US8 million with past winners including Minjee Lee (2021).
