Victorian golfer Richard Green faces a challenging final round at the Regions Tradition in Alabama after struggling with his putting in Round 3. Seeking his first PGA TOUR Champions victory, Green will begin the last day five strokes behind due to a difficult round of 3-over 75.

Green was even par through the first eight holes but encountered setbacks with a bogey on the ninth and a double-bogey at the par-3 10th. These errors led to his fall from the top of the leaderboard. Despite hitting 15 out of 18 greens in regulation, he could not capitalize on his opportunities.

Green, aged 54, is tied for 10th place at 10-under par going into Sunday. Brisbane’s Michael Wright trails him by one stroke at 9-under following an impressive third round.

American Jerry Kelly surged ahead with a score of 65, surpassing all other players including Wright’s strong performance of 6-under 66. Kelly’s achievements included an eagle on the par-5 13th and three consecutive birdies starting from the 15th hole, moving him up to tie for 13th place.

Greg Chalmers will enter Sunday’s play tied for 15th at 8-under par. Meanwhile, Rod Pampling and Mark Hensby have both climbed into a tie for 32nd after shooting rounds of 4-under 68.
