We are midway through the men’s major golf season as six Australian women prepare for the US Women’s Open at Erin Hills. Among them, Hannah Green, Minjee Lee, Stephanie Kyriacou, and Gabi Ruffels have been contenders on the LPGA Tour this year but have yet to secure a win. They remain optimistic as they approach their second major of the year.
Karl Vilips nearly achieved his third top-10 finish of his PGA TOUR rookie season but finished tied for 11th at the Charles Schwab Challenge due to two late bogeys. This performance places him close to breaking into the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.
The Ripper GC players will resume their LIV Golf seasons next week, while current Power Rankings participants focus on upcoming events like the US Women’s Open, Memorial Tournament, and Austrian Open.
Marc Leishman holds his position at number 10 in the rankings. He will return to play next week at LIV Golf Virginia. Adam Scott remains ninth after tying for 19th at the PGA Championship and is set to compete in this week’s Memorial Tournament.
Elvis Smylie stands eighth after completing all four rounds in a major for the first time at the PGA Championship. He aims to improve his standing in this week’s Austrian Open on the DP World Tour.
Minjee Lee ranks seventh with five top-15 finishes from nine starts this year as she heads into Erin Hills. Jason Day is sixth, seeking better results at Muirfield Village, where he has only two top-25 finishes in 15 starts.
Hannah Green ranks fifth and is known for excelling on challenging courses. She enters Erin Hills ranked sixth in Greens In Regulation Percentage on the LPGA Tour despite her driving distance average placing her 110th.
Stephanie Kyriacou holds fourth place with two top-six finishes since tying for 30th in her first LPGA major of 2025. She leads with more eagles than any other player on tour this season.
Min Woo Lee has dropped to third following struggles since his breakthrough win at Texas Children’s Houston Open. His best result recently was a 49th-place finish at The Masters.
Karl Vilips climbs to second after nearly securing another top-10 finish last week and reaching a career-high ranking of 102 globally.
Lucas Herbert remains atop the rankings after winning his sixth career title at International Series Japan and achieving three top-five finishes on LIV Golf this season. He also set course records twice in recent rounds.
