Australian golfers are preparing for the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl, where eight Australians will compete in the final women’s major of 2025. Cassie Porter and Karis Davidson were both tied for ninth place through three rounds at last week’s Women’s Scottish Open before finishing tied for 21st with Minjee Lee. Davidson recently tied for seventh at the Meijer LPGA Classic.

Recent results have raised hopes that an Australian could win a third consecutive women’s major, following Minjee Lee’s victory at the KPMG Women’s PGA and Grace Kim’s win at the Amundi Evian Championship.

On the men’s side, Marc Leishman finished tied for 11th after making all four rounds at The Open Championship and then competing in LIV Golf UK. This performance allowed him to move ahead of Lucas Herbert in this week’s Power Rankings.

The current top ten in the Australian Golf Power Rankings are:

10. Min Woo Lee – Winner of the Texas Children’s Houston Open, recently celebrated his 27th birthday and is not expected to play again until next week.
9. Hannah Green – Her best result this year was a tie for 12th at the US Women’s Open; she aims to improve her record at this week’s AIG Women’s Open.
8. Karis Davidson – Shot a 6-under 66 in Round 3 of the Women’s Scottish Open, ultimately finishing tied for 21st.
7. Stephanie Kyriacou – Tied for 14th at the Evian Championship but missed the cut at the Women’s Scottish Open.
6. Jason Day – Missed his last two cuts including The Open Championship; he has made six starts since the Masters and is not playing this week.
5. Lucas Herbert – Won on the Asian Tour earlier this year but finished tied for 34th at LIV Golf UK.
4. Adam Scott – After missing The Open cut, he played all four rounds at the 3M Open and finished tied for 53rd.
3. Marc Leishman – Made the cut as Australia’s sole representative at The Open and followed up with a tie for sixth going into LIV Golf UK, ending in eleventh place.
2. Grace Kim – Recently won a major but missed the cut last week; she will compete again this week.
1. Minjee Lee – Achieved her tenth top-25 finish from twelve starts this year after tying for 21st last week; her lowest result was a tie for 35th.

The rankings are compiled subjectively by members of the Australian Golf media team.
