Scott was close to a top-10 finish, being three strokes back and turning in 2-under to be 6-under for the tournament. However, a bogey on the 14th hole followed by three dropped shots over his final two holes ended those hopes.
Elvis Smylie made significant strides in his career by playing all four rounds of his second major championship after receiving a special exemption into the PGA Championship. He made the cut for the first time in his career despite being notified less than a week before.
